Hi All

I got request for medicals and passport ..... i have applied under arrange employment category

Now my question is that i m in canada on a work permit and i intend to complete my landing by rentering buffalo ... but my wife will be coming from India

Do i have to show proof of funds .... or willl the officer at customs be asking my wife for proof of funds


Ideally there is no need to show proof of funds if u r in arrange employment category but i need to confirm will the officer at customs ask proof of funds to my wife ?

For AEO there's no requirement of a POF. Probably the BSO wouldn't ask, and even if s/he did, inform them that u r an AEO case. Ditto for your spouse.

Qorax wud u hv any idea how long does it takes for DMP to send the medical to Ottawa and what is the process ?

Because i have done medicals in Toronto,Canada ... i want to know what is the process and how will they advise New delhi office

Didn't u get the Courier's Tracking No.?

A DMP would send the results in a day or 2, unless he's a crook and waits to club many cases together. I knew of one such who'd wait weeks before he sent, though he'd collect indiv. Courier Charges from each applicant.

No they will not ask you for it. POF N/A in your case. Best of luck for your landing.

Sorry dude .. i was busy wit the medicals and other things - so cudnt catch up wit u ...
Well i did medicals last friday ... n the DMP in Toronto says that it will take her a two weeks to send the results to Ottawa ... which is strange ... i guess u r rite - they want to save money on courier
Meanwhile my wife has finished her medicals in Mumbai and her DMP says that it will reach New delhi in 4-5 days
I was worried bcos i recieved my medicals on 18th June and by the time it reaches Ottawa -it almost gonna be end of 45 days
But when i send my wife Passport and draft and i wrote a cover letter statin that i m in canada and my wife is in India
and i have done my medicals here in toronto and my results will go to Ottawa as per Dmp over here
Is it mandatory that the results shud reach them by 45 days -- bcos it is written in medical letter that we shud received results in 45 days ...

Do not worry. It is the DMP's responsibility to send it to CHC, yours is to take the test within 45 days and they say to take in between 35-40 days to keep 5 days as buffer.

I have included a cover letter and a photocopy of my receipt so that thy know - i hv done my test ...
