Proof of funds at POE in other currencies

Dear All

Can we take Landing funds at POE in any currency ( as the exchange rates are not in our favor). would like to know if anybody has done landing with equivalent of Canadian Dollars in any currency .

It is not absolutely necessary to land with raw cash!!!Secondly foreign currency may complicate matters for you.Your best bet is to obtain a banker's draft or get your money wired electronically afterward.The imo at Poe is only interested in how much you are bringing to canada and may not ask to see the raw cash.Just make sure that you have evidence of the required amount in the form of bank statement .The currency exchange exchange is always out of anybody 'scontrol.

You can get a cashiers check in your local currency, just ensure it is bit above the expected amount in POE. When the customs officer makes an entry they convert it into CAD.
