Hi,
As of now (October 2022), I have a necessary sum of money in my bank account to both study and live in Canada. I'm planning to study in Fall 2023, so, providing my bank statements for the past 4 months is not an issue. However, approximately 30-40% of this sum was gifted to me by my parents. In other words, accumulating my income alone was not enough to get the sum I needed. So, my questions are the following:
1. In this situation, is it enough to simply provide my bank statements as a proof that I can support myself?
2. Is it recommended that you attach documents that show how much you earn? If it is, will the discrepancy I described earlier (in bold) problematic?
Just to sum up, I would prefer to make my application as "clean" as possible by not adding anything that can evoke more questions. Need proof of funds? Here are my bank statements... Nevertheless, if it may hurt my chances of getting a study permit, I will provide a) bank statements b) income statements c) a letter from a person who gave me money.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could kindly help me out!
