What difference between the 6-month balance and the ending balance on the proof of funds would be deemed too big?

My 6-month balance is about 9,000 CAD and my ending balance is a little above 12,000 CAD, so a difference of about 3,000 CAD. Should I write an explanation of this difference?

Can anybody also share their experience with CIC regarding this?

What's the major deposit you made the past six months?

CIC will not question you as long as the funds you show belong to you i.e., you have not borrowed from someone to patch up the deficit amount.

There's no single major deposit. I draw some funds from my small business account into my POF account monthly - these range from 2,000 to 4,000 CAD a month. I use my POF account to pay for some monthly expenses as well as to pay taxes and health insurance.
