Proof of funds – Skilled immigrants

As per the canada.ca website, I need to show 23542 CAD. However I do not have that money. Six month ago I had lot of transactions but now I do not have such money. However I have some asset like Apartment, Car.

1. Any way of showing such big amount other than selling...
2. Also they want to have such amount for past 6 month and upto the immigration processed. If I sell my car and show that amount form now, will it work?

1. No, assets need to be liquid and callable. So , cash , bank deposits or any other form of assets that you can proof on record and that you can use to settle in Canada.
2. It can work. However, to avoid confusion, include sale documents for the car and top it all off with a simple LOE to explain your situation
