Can i use my bank statement printed the 12th of April,2011? Am about to submit my application this week?Pls help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The statements are over 3 months old. This will surely raise a doubt in VO's mind, I think getting a current statement is a good idea and it should not take long from the bank to get latest statement.

Get new statement for the file.

U need to submit the latest statement reporting three prior month's status. Old versions are always doubtful. IO may ask u to submit ... later may be .... last one year statement.

It is always preferred to maintain account balance till u get the visa.

Agreed. 3 months is bare minimum, 6 months is better. 12 months is ideal.

The more convincing your proof of funding is now to CIO, the less likely it will cause delays at the visa office end - who will ask for further statements and proof if they are not convinced the funds are available and belong to you.

So my advise is to send 12 months statements if you are able to, if not then try to send 6 months.

Surely you can get up to date statements ordered from your bank?
