Hi, I sent it to CIO i february.
I want to ask how long should I leave the money in my account after sending statement of account to visa office. I use my money for business and I dont want to ground my business now. When can I withdraw the money from my account. Do they check with the bank how much is there. I dont want to loose my market and since its still my money i can do business with it and make more money before going to canada. please help resolve this issue.

Yes, they do check it once in a while. To be on the safe side, leave it there until you land in Canada.

It is safer that you leave it there until you get your visa because you never know when they ask you to resubmit the proof of funds. My 1st RFD was in Sep 08 where i had to show proof, 1 received a 2nd RFD last month where i was again asked to show proof from bank statements for last 6 months. In my letter it was stated that i have to account / prove that any large deposits in my account are actually mine.

You need the amount from at least a month before date of app to CHC till Visa is issued. You also need to carry the Funds to Canada and needs to show Proof of funds at Port of entry
