hi,

i am from Mauritius and i have heard that when you exchange currency to Canadian dollar in Canada you have to incur some commission fees(Unlike in Mauritius where there is no commission on exchange)

please can anyone advise on the best way to bring the proof of fund...
travelers cheque or a bank draft?

thanks

I'm too planning to land next month with husband and a 1year old child
Is it ok to take a traveller's cheque for the whole amount? or half cash and half cheque?
If i take Traveller cheque, then how long it takes to get back them once after reaching canada??

Regards.

Always be careful traveling with cash, if you cross the border with too much cash you could have to pay duties.
