Hello, I've got admission to Memorial University for fall Intake. My question is I am getting my Funds from my relatives, they are giving me the amount and I am going to deposit it in my bank account. For the proof of fund, along with GIC and the proof that I paid 1st year's full tuition fee, can I just mention that I have enough funds in my bank account and attach the statement? Is that enough?

I don't have these funds in my account previously! Just going to deposit.

Thanks.

Hey,

Congrats on your admit. Firstly, you should definitely get a letter from your relative that they are giving you the money. If you fail to do so, that might affect your application. So make sure to get a letter from them and mention that in your sop as well.

Thank you so much,

I am receiving funds from multiple people in the form of cash! I am going to deposit it directly into my account by myself. What shall I do?

Get a letter from each! Visa officers will check whether you are capable of possessing that bulk amount which is in your bank account and that may raise a question about where the money came from all of a sudden. And if you are a fresher, then this might even cause refusal. So be transparent about who is sponsoring you.

The letter should mention who are they to me and how much are they providing along with their signature right? Or any other documents required?

Yes, that's enough. Don't forget to include your bank statement. Also, if they're not your immediate family, try to include any proof for their relationship with you.
