Proof of Fund question? CEC application please help

hi , guys

i am Inland CEC applicant . for proof of fund i have declared something like (in my EE profile)

How much money (in Canadian dollars) will xxxx bring to Canada to support themselves and their family? Help
and i have answered $13000

but , do i actually need show my funds ? since i am CEC applicant is it mandatory to show the amount .?

(i think i am safe because i have $13000 funds on my bank account for past 8 months )
if i have to show .. will it be my bank statement for 6 months ? or just a letter from bank with my balance ?
