Hi seniors

Is it necessary to carry the full POF in cash or cheque while entering the POE? Is the bank statement enough to prove the fund? Please reply.

thank you

You can go 80:20 ratio for DD & cash respectively.

You will be requiring cash which can you calculate and plan accordingly.

Few members landed recently and shared that they got only bank statements and some reasonable amount around 5-6k dollars but they didnt even ask for POF.

Whether they ask or not, its optional.

From our side, we need to be ready. Can't take risk at this stage.

If its optional then from where question of risk arrise.

Cash and Demand Draft.

Bank statement may or may not be accepted. As the idea is that you are moving to Canada as a Permanent Resident for good. IF you say that money is still back home, then you MIGHT be considered as not moving to Canada currently. If the Officer comes to this conclusion, they might not issue you a PR Card.

It is all a matter of luck or bad luck. I was not ready to take ANY chances, play safe, take your $$ cash+DD.

Open an account in Canada and deposit money there, eventually you are gonna move.
