Hi,
For a three-member family, the fund asked by CIC is 18825 CAD. Again while leaving the country they asked to carry as much as i can (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp) and not more than 1000 CAD are to be there.
My question is that this 1000 CAD is additional amount after having a fund of 18825 CAD or it is within the claimed fund?
Another question is that If i do have an international debit card (having a balance of 18825 CAD), should I carry cash again while crossing the immigration or it is enough as international debit will be a 24X7 payment gateway at Canada?

Seeking your kind support on it..

There is no limit on bringing money as long as you declare it.

For large amount its better to make a travelers cheque and cash it here. safe and secured.
