Hi, guys I have a question, I understand that I need to show bank balance statement as well as transactions of 6 months period as a proof of fund. Does this need to be from salary or it can be like family support ( parents providing financial support) so that I can deposit 2000$-2500$ every months and have balance of 12500$ by the end of 6 month period. Do I need to provide source of income? Or just self depositing money will work?

1 - Bank statements of the past 6 months are only recommended to be provided if your bank letter does not follow IRCC's guidelines.
2 - If you're getting the money from your family then you'd need a gift deed to show that this money wasn't borrowed but it is actually a gift that they do not expect to get back from you.
3 - Self-depositing money without any source of where that money came from is definitely not recommended.

I do have a bank account at CIBC bank in Canada so i guess it follows IRCC's guidelines. So in this case how can I proceed with no personal income right now but parents willing to support me.
