Ok I have looked through many posts about this on the forum and still can't wrap my head around it. What is better, my parents bank account with 4 month balance + letter of support or my own bank account with 4 month balance.

I'm 22 just graduate and only work for 9 months until I intend to apply for study permit( June next year) so obviously I cant accumulate that kind of money. However I see people said its better to have it in your name but it will just be my parents deposit it into my account.

Well since you're clearly going to be sponsored by your parents, it doesn't matter whether you have them transfer the funds to you or not, they're ultimately your sponsors. But if you want my advice, show them your parents bank statement. The visa officer wants to be assured that you have an adequate & sustained source of income.

You can show joint account with your parent where the money is currently present. Let is stay there for as long as you could. Provide their ITR documents and employment documents as source of those funds in addition to affidavit of support from them (notarized).

I got the student permit twice, and I did show my parent as a sponsor. What I did is I got one or two bank statements from them and a letter. It worked. I didn't ever show my accounts not to confuse officers.
