Proof of financial support for common-law sponsorship?

Hi everyone,

My Belgian boyfriend is in Ontario with me currently on a working holiday visa valid for 1 year (not extendable). Once we have been living together for 12 months, I will sponsor him under the common-law sponsorship. The thing is, when we submit the sponsorship, his working holiday visa will expire making me the only source of income. However I am attending school full time and will only have a part time job that makes maybe 800$ a month. This isn't a problem since we have plenty of savings and won't need any financial assistance.

However what I am worried about is that they will reject the application because I can't prove that I have a stable, livable income. Does anyone have any experience with this? Should I put school on hold and get a full time job?

Who can become a sponsor
You can become a sponsor if you are:
Note: There is no low income cut-off (LICO) for spouse, partner or dependent child sponsorships, unless a dependent child also has one or more dependent children of their own.
