Hi,

Is it ok to send a UK online bank statement showing proof of funds and add a letter of explanation stating I will get the letter, in the required format, at a later date (i.e. when i go back in January)? Or should I just wait to send it in as requested? Basically it's the only document I'm waiting on and I kind of want to just submit etc.

Also I have the letter from my Canadian bank showing over $10,000 but my UK bank is the one with the most money in.

Any advice/ help would be appreciated - thanks in advance.

I would suggest get the letter and then submit the application. LOE is a means to explain the exceptional circumstances and no way should be used as a short cut. Anyways that's a suggestion, it is your call.

Missed to state another reason, because, you need to mention account open date etc which will not be available in the bank statement.

The statement actually goes back all the way to 2010 - it's a savings account etc. so not there's not much transaction history and demonstrates way over the proof of funds requirement from early 2012. Don't know if that makes any difference??

No. Online bank statements will not be accepted. Someone on this forum has been rejected before due to this reason. Follow exactly what they require!

Good luck!

The only documents that they will trust for financials would be the ones that bear the bank authority signatures / seals. Online statements aren't any good with them from what I know from my lawyer.
