proof of finances do I need the ID of the person sponsoring?

if my dad is paying for my studies do I need his passport copy as well or is the bank statements and income tax and statement of sponsorship sufficient? he isn't really comfy giving out his passport copy but I heard from some ppl u need the passport copy of the person sponsoring??


im from singapore if it matters.
