Proof of common law relationship (no sponsorship)

Hi,

My partner and I have opened a shared visa application for Express Entry (federal skilled worker), as a common-law partnership. None of us have any link to Canada, so sponsorship is not involved.
The problem is that we have not been able to find clear information on what exactly we need to submit, and how it needs to be submitted. From what we gathered, we need:
  • Our rental contract, which we are both named on. This document is in German, so we plan to get the key parts of it translated (certified translation).
  • Bank statements with our names and address. This is mostly for good measure.
  • Common-law union form (IMM5409e)
Is there anything else required aside from these? Additionally, it seems that a notary is required to notarize the common-law union form. Will this notary also need notarize the other documents, or do they simply need to confirm who we are and that we are swearing the provided documents are authentic?

Any help would be very appreciated.
Note: We are aware that there has not been a FSW draw since 2020 and that there is no confirmation on when the next one might be. We just want to apply and have everything prepared for when the time comes.
