My Canadian common law parter is sponsoring me in land. I have sent my application with some proof of cohabitation (some pay stubs, gov ID cards, insurance papers, etc). I did not submit one year worth of these proofs as I though that if I had check marked all the docs required that would suffice. My question is, I had to submit one year worth of proof of cohabitation? Thank you.

You need to submit the actual evidence as part of your application - not just check the boxes off on the checklist. Without the actual evidence, your application will be refused. Whe did you submit your application?

I did submit all the evidence I have along with my application. What I am trying to say is that I did not submit one year worth of documentation to proof one year worth of cohabitation. For example, 12 cc statements, 12 paystubs showing the same address. I submitted a few days ago, I am just wondering if it’s going to be refused for lack of enough documentation.

Ah - I understand now. You don't need to show the full 12 months. However you do need to include evidence that shows the start of the cohabitation period to prove you have the full 12 months. For example, if you are staying that you started living together in December 2018 and in December 2019 you became common law, then you need to show evidence from December 2018 to show you started living together then. As long as you did that, you should be fine.

Ah dang, I didn’t do that. Will they ask for more documentation during the process or will it be rejected right away?

They will likely ask for more proofs.
