Hello-

I recently had my application for Proof of Citizenship returned, due to how Section 8 was filled out. First, my story:
-all 4 of my grandparents were born in Canada
-my mum was born in Canada (1956)
-my dad was born in the States though his parents were Canadian, he never received citizenship
-my parents were married in Canada

My application was flagged because I did not fill out the following questions for my dad:
-How did this parent obtain Canadian citizenship?
-Canadian Certificate Number
-On what date did this parent first enter Canada to live?
-Did this parent leave Canada for more than one year before 1977?

So here is my question:
-was I supposed to leave this entire section blank for my dad since he isn't Canadian? Should my mum be the only parent listed on my application?
-was it returned simply because it was blank and I didn't write "N/A"?
-am I not eligible for citizenship because only one of my parents is Canadian? (this doesn't seem right)

Thank you so much in advance for the help!
