Proof funds

hi,

During my initial application i had put CAD40000 as proof of funds by mistake.
Please advice whether i can change to CAD25000, when i submitting my full application.

Yes, you can change anything you want went presenting application to visa office but you have to use a cover sheet stating what changes where made and for what reason. You just have to have the required amount of money stated in instructions or more.

Can i and my wife combine our savings and show them as Proof of funds.?
i am the principal applicant.

Can we show property as proof of funds?
i have money in stocks & bonds , i will sell them to have money in my account.
Do they check funds at time of landing.

Property as PoF depends on the visa office.

AFAIK, CHC - ND does not consider property as PoF.

You can combine your savings, just open a joint account with your spouse and show it as your proof of fund.

Dear,

1. Lately property cannot be shown as PofA. It needs to be in 'liquid' form.
2. Spouse's a/c is perfectly alright. It need not be a joint a/c, until her name is shown differently.
3. All kinds of savings (short/long term) are OK to be combined with savings/current bank a/c.
4. Stocks & Bonds are better avoided, due to volatility of market rate. But can be shown as extra i/c.

I also have one query that .. i am not having CAD$16,000 in my saving account because all the money i have is invested in either stocks or MFs so please guide me that what is the minimum balance i need to show in my saving account and for how many months..

any reply is highly appreciated

You need to show six month bank statement and the minimum balance for Canadian Immigration should be the following amounts depending on the number of people accompanied by the main applicant.

Canadian Dollars:

1 $10,601 (One Person)
2 $13,198 (Two Persons)
3 $16,225 (Three Persons)
4 $19,700 (Four Persons)
5 $22,343 (Five Persons)
6 $25,199 (Six Persons)
7 or more $28,055

CHC is only interested to see the required funds in ur accounts! i had made the same mistake of writing 500000 cad. but i got visa. good luck!

CIC updates the PofA every year. But not necessarily every yr it'd change. The present requirement is:
