Hi,

I received an update in my profile today. CIC has requested for additional documents. The following is the request for both myself and my spouse:

We have begun processing your application for permanent residence, and in order to make a decision we require the following information/documents:
> Travel History: Please provide proof of travel history since the age of 18. This must be received at this office by: 2015/11/25

At the time of providing all information online, the question regarding travel history was as follows:

"Provide details of any trips Mr GC_007 has taken outside
his/her country of origin or of residence in the last ten years (or since
his/her 18th birthday if this was less than ten years ago). Include all trips:
tourism, business, training, etc."

I had no travel outside my country of origin (India) and outside any country of residence (Canada). Accordingly I answered No.

Now what proof do I provide. I have already submitted the stamped pages of travel between Indian and Canada.

Request your urgent help as I need to reply within 3 days.

Date of Application: August 05

What i construe from your description is as follows:

In the online form they generally ask for proof of travel for the last 10yrs or from 18yrs of age whichever is less than 10yrs ago.

Now since you had answered as 'No' to that question as of course you had none, now they want to know if you had any travel between your attaining 18yrs of age and last 10yrs. (As they must have assumed that your 'No' was for the last 10yrs. because of the clause 'if its less than 10yrs ago')

So in my opinion:
If you did not have any travel between the period of your attaining '18yrs of age' and 'last 10yrs' then the best thing to do (in my opinion) is write an LoE explaining that you did not travel during that time too, so there is no additional proof of travel apart from what you already provided online from your 18yrs of age till date.

Hope that helps...

Shouldnt you have mentioned yes and added your travel dates between canada and india? You travelled to canada from your country of origin and also to india from country of residence!!

I might be wrong in understaning this but you can correct me if i am wrong in deciphering this.

I am not an expert, but I agree you would be wise to state your travel between India and Canada.

I agree with stranger. The travel between India and Canada is a travel outside the country of origin (India). Fill in this detail and write a very polite LOE telling that you somehow missed to include this information in your profile.
