Profile Ineligible - FSW/EE

Hello,

I created my profile on CIC for consideration under express entry/federal skilled worker.
My profile was determined to be ineligible by CIC. But CIC did not provide any score for my application/profile, neither was a clear reason for ineligibility specified.
As per my understanding of eligibility criteria, I believe that I should meet the required criteria. So, I am trying to figure out the reason for my profile's ineligibility. That way I will be able to determine if I should re-apply or not. It'll be great if the members here can help.

My profile info is as follows:
I am 35 years of age, married.
I have 13+ years of experience and can map my skills to a valid NOC in Skill Type 0.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a Masters degree in Management.
My IELTS score is - Speaking - 7.5, Reading - 7.5, Listening - 8.5, Writing - 6.5.
I have the required funds to support us in Canada for a while.

By any chance, can anyone help me in understanding the reason for my ineligibility for Canadian PR? Thanks!

I believe we may need to get Canadian equivalent of our education degrees. I have not done that yet but I can get it done before I re-apply.

I believe we may need to get Canadian equivalent of our education degrees. I have not done that yet but I can get it done before I re-apply.

Unless you have got your educational credential evaluation done, you will not know for sure if you can apply as having masters or bachelor's degree. Your scores will vary based on that.

Sorry to hear.

Listen, I had a friend who went through a similar case, if you applied through an agent tell them to go through their file thoroughly, there could have been a mistake. There could also be a possibility of system error.

He happened to apply again and was successful with the EE application.

Pay attention to the part where it says "work experience IN CANADA". I lot of people choose yes by mistake.

I did not apply through an agent; did it myself. Will try to do that again. Hope it will work out this time.
I tried the calculator .. my score is in late 300s. I am not sure what is the usual score for people who get the invitation to apply for permanent residency. Do you guys have any idea?

Calculate your score manually, if you score less than 67 points that's why you're ineligible under the FSW program.

A score of 'late 300's' sounds like you calculated your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, but not your Federal Skilled Workers (FSW) eligibility score.

Use the following link to first find out if you're eligible under FSW (you have to score 67 out of 100 at least): http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp

If you're eligible for FSW, then you're eligible for Express Entry, and this is where your CRS Score comes into consideration (it determines if you get an Invitation to Apply (ITA)). At present, scores above 440 are considered to be the best bet for getting an ITA, but that could change at any given moment.

If you have not studied in Canada, the ECA is mandatory for the Principal Applicant to be eligible under the FSW program. Yes, it needs to be done before you submit the profile.

I tried the fsw points calculation and I did get a score of above 67. So, I guess it is a good start.
I will try to get my ECA done and re-apply. Let's see how it goes.
