Product Owner - used NOC 2171 and received ITA

Hi All,

I have been Product Owner/Squad Leader for last 2 years. As part of my Express Entry Profile I used 2171 as the NOC for my Job Title and received an ITA on that basis. While filling the PR applcation and getting reference letters from employers, I am having second thoughts about the NOC I used because not all of the responsibilities match. I had debated using this NOC while filing my EE profile also. Since Product Owner does not directly come under any NOC, I went ahead with 2171 as it seemed to be the closest.

Has anyone else with the same job title received ITA by using NOC 2171?

NOC is selected based on the duties you perform and not the job title. Check your job duties against the ones mentioned for NOC 2171.

I'm looking to use 2171 for my experience as an Associate Product Owner. I was possibly thinking 1254 though that seems more specifically about research and stats rather than researching from a product management perspective. Another one I thought could possibly work is 4163, though it seems more related to policy and the public sector. It's frustrating that there isn't a more specific NOC unit group for Product, but I feel like 2171 is probably is the best match.

What did you select in the end and have you heard back anything?

I got it right and renewed my Visa. Hoping to apply it again for my PNP tech next month.
