Hi, I am Canadian man married to Indian woman with our 6 year old daughter. I am sponsoring wife. Our file was submitted, confirmed on 24/10/18 although the online status tool says processing started Sept 19/18....? Now 5 months later and the status still says ‘in process’. With no stages listed. This doesn’t seem normal comparatively. Should I be concerned. I am now back in India with wife and child as I was in Canada working while I submitted application..... so I can’t even call helpline as the number is only for ‘inside Canada.’ Any suggestions about what I can do to see where exactly and what’s taking my part of the application so long?

I understand the total length but isn’t the status page supposed to list the various stages of the process? It says on the cic that the Sponsor’s part of the application takes 53 days. My application has gone way past that and the status shows no stages? Other’s here show their lists of dates of which their application went/ going through. I’m just wondering why ours isn’t showing up?

12 months target. Each stage varies from application to application. Not much to do unless it goes past 12 m.
