Processing times UPDATED on CIC website (20th May 2015)

Hi guys, something I just noticed that will be of interest to most people here...

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/provincial.asp

Up until today, the processing times estimates had not changed since January, but they were updated TODAY (May 20th 2015).

Of note, "Ottawa (Case Processing Centre) - Canada" is down to 16 months (was previously 17).

If I apply today, do the processing times show how long it will take to process my application?

No. The processing times only show the time it took to approve or refuse 80 percent of applications during some time in the past. Processing times in the future may be different. We show processing times to give you a general idea of how long a process takes.
