Hello all, was wondering the following:

1. I am currently living in London, just came back from Canada after living and working for 5 years. I am applying for the Canadian Experience Class...I am trying to determine if I apply through London or Buffalo.

2. If London, can someone give me some idea around length of application

Thanks so much in advance,

Nigel.

Hi Nigel,

The instruction guide (p.30) states:
"If you left Canada, you will have to apply at the Canadian Visa Office that serves your area.
List of Canadian Visa Offices"

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/5609E.PDF

So, it would be London, who would then forward your application to Buffalo. Don't know the impact on processing times. Current estimate is ~ 10 months, it is getting longer, and there is a lot of variation.

Great, thanks for the quick response ... I assume that I put LONDON as the Visa Office requested to process application on the form, not BUFFALO.

Thanks again for your help!

THAT is a very good question - I would think you put Buffalo, even tho you submit to London - Perhaps PMM could help with this one...

Definitely check with CIC on this - that is one of those things that can de-rail an application, so you want to be sure to get it right...
