Hello, I submitted my application a week ago, but I have not yet heard anything from IRCC. Does anyone know how long will you get an email or letter confirming that the application has been accepted for processing?

6-8 weeks approximately.

There are long periods (months) where you will hear nothing. The process takes around a year. You are not the only application being processed and it is not only spousal sponsorships. You're going to have to learn to be patient.

is it sometimes shorter than a year? Is it a year from receiving or AOR1?

Hi. My wife is in India and I applied for her PR by regular mail on Aug 1,2018. I haven't received any confirmation from IRCC yet. Would appreciate if someone can let me know about the response time to acknowledge the application. Thanks
