Processing time

Hello,
My application was received on 23 april 2009 at sydney, I have not got any acknowledgment letter from them. I dont know how long they take to send an acknoledgment of application. Please can you tell normally how much time they take to send AOR?

they take about a week to a month, the rest depends on whether you live in Sydney NS or Timbuktu because postal times can vary a lot.

I have send the application to Sydney from Columbus, OH and I have kept two self-addressed(Columbus, OH) labels inside my application. I dont know how much time they take to send me an acknowledgment?

now that i know you sent it from ohio, i could give you my experience, since it is from the US too. I sent mine on the 10th of Dec, i think they received it on the 22nd and I got the reply on the 7th of Jan. I might be getting the dates wrong by +-couple of days. So despite the public holidays, I got mine within a month. But remember, there were less applications during that time.
