Hello everyone, good day. I've been working on my study permit application for sometime now and I've just submitted it. But to my surprise, the processing times from where im applying from suddenly jumped to 11 weeks! It used to be 2-3 weeks not too long ago, but now after paying and doing everything, I'm hit with this issue. I don't think I can wait that long because of specific circumstances, what do you guys think? Is this normal? Will it jump back to 2-3 weeks? Thank you in advance everyone.

Does that mean that everyone is going to miss their semester? What about the money everyone paid for univ and study permit, around $300 CAD for me..

How can I defer my semester if I already submitted my study permit application?
i have no idea. it's also my first time applying visa to canada. but i guess you have two options:
option 1, you ask uni to defer. then you do nothing.
option 2, you ask uni to defer. then you use web-form to explain everything about deferral.

option 1 pro: easy, con: risky (refusal by IRCC or when entering Canada);
option 2 pro: safer, con: time-consuming, needs to prepare all the document.

I see, but what do you mean by web-form?
