I applied to extend my work visa on the 16th of November 2012.

I sent the application via mail.

I did not receive any letters or notifications that they received my application.

My permit expired on the 15th of February 2013, and I am still waiting on my new work permit.

The processing times on the website have long passed.

I have tried calling the 1888 242 2100 number but they say "call volume to high, cannot process call"

It is now well over a month since my visa expired, so I am currently on implied status. But my drivers licence has expired aswell as my health card.

I get no response from emails, and am advised it will take 20 days for a reply.

Any help would be great!
How do I even know if they received my application. I am now getting worried that my application was lost in the mail.

Call CIC 8 AM (local time) in morning, after 10-15 minutes wait you will be attended. I called CIC today too and was able to get through.

Just keep calling. Once the hotline hangs up on you because of a high volume of calls, call again. And again.
Last time I called at 3pm local time, it took me 14 tries to get through.
