Hi Everyone!

Just want to know if some of you here has the same status as mine. Went to canasa as a visitor. I am a Registered Nurse in the philippines, and have my NCLEX license converted to Alberta. Somebody wants to hire me, and willing to wait to process LMIA and work permit. How long will it take for work permit to get process outside canada? They said once my LMIA get approve, I have to go home to process it. My parents who’s already here in canada are going to have their surgery. As both my sibling and her husband are working fulltime, They cannot take care of our parents so I am hoping to get back here as soon as possible. Hope I can get a share experienced. Thank you.

So who is the employer? So as a RN, in high or low wage stream? So when is employer filing for LMIA because right now EDSC is processing LMIAs filed in March so that gives you an idea. Then you apply for closed work permit. You cannot apply from inside Canada.

The Employer going to be is a Nursing Home. I do not know if it is in high or low wage stream as i Haven’t search if the rate they are offering me belongs to high wage. I hope that the processing of LMIA and Work permit is faster than I am expecting, because of the upcoming surgery of both of my parents.

As I said, current LMIA applications for March are being processed. So if not applied then LMIA may not come until June. Then take into account WP processing time.

What is the salary because if low wage, employer must be eligible and be in an area of high unemployment.
