Processing time of temporary visitor record

Hey Guys,

As my work permit expired last week, before that I applied for a temporary visitor record on May 20th. And now it's been 40 days.
But according to CIC website:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/temp.asp
The processing time of a new temporary resident visa is 21 days.
Is this normal? Should I reach out to CIC?

If you read that link properly, New temporary resident visa is of 21 days (it means visa stamping on passport.). Visitor visa paper application will take 107 days and online application will take 88 days.

My pgwp will b expired by july 11th ...i am still waiting for pnp result n lmia result ...shud i apply for work permit renewal or visitor visa ???

U can apply for workpermit extension based on ur lmia and pnp request pending, visitor visa shld b last option when u no option left.
