Hi Forum Members,
I was charged "Assault" changes and police took my pictures and fingerprints at that time. The charges were dropped later when I signed the "Peace Bond". My peace bond was effective for 12 months from the signed date. The 12 month term of my peace bond get over few months ago. I have already applied for the record destruction (fingerprints and photos) but it is in process till date.
Few days ago, CIC has asked for the fingerprint test for citizenship and I have submitted my electronic fingerprints and waiting for RCMP to produce results.
Please let me know the following as per your best knowledge:
1. Will processing time increase for fingerprint test results as RCMP is going to find the match for my fingerprints and photos into their database, although there is no conviction or criminal record? (as per RCMP website, processing time is 3 days if there is no conviction but 120 days if a conviction is found http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/en/processing-times-and-fees)
2. How does result of my fingerprints will impact my citizenship application?
Thank you for your time!
