Hello,
I have submitted a visa file for category Open Spouse work permit visa for my wife on 3rd May 2018. And, still status shows that "We are processing you file". Is there anyone, who can help to guide in the right direction? Why it is taking a long time or whom should I contact.

File is being processed at New Delhi visa office.

Thank You

Open work permits are typically processed around 4 months, but there is no set timeline. However you say you file is being processed in ND, which leads me to believe you applied outland? If so, there is no work permit on an outland application. Can you clarify?

I mean, My wife is India. And, I am working in Canada. So, to bring her here with me, I applied through the consultancy which is in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.

And visa file process is taking long and long. And also other people, who applied under same category, they are getting approved within a 2 month. And, mine is about to become 3 months. And, that's why I am worrying.

You cannot apply for a work permit on an outland application.

No one is approved for PR in 2 months. The target is 12 months.

Thank You for you help regarding this issue.

But, this application is not for PR. It is the thing where my wife can live with me in Canada until my work permit expires. So, she gets a work permit until the date that mine expires. If it is not Open spouse work permit visa then it might be like Dependent Visa. I believe.

But it is related to the situation where my wife can live me with until my work permit expires.

Understood...this forum is particularly for spousal and family sponsorship, so you may be looking in the wrong place. Sorry I can't help more, hopefully someone else can.

How do you know your application is getting processed in New Delhi and not Bangalore or Hyderabad? Is there somewhere you check this?
