Processing time for in-person application in Consulate at NY city

Hi everyone,

Online it is saying that VAC at NY is closed, but you can apply in-person at NY city consulate. Also it mentions that they only accept first 100 applications, etc.

My question is: does anyone know their processing time if you apply in-person? Does anyone tried to applied there in the last couple of months?

Or is this just a place to hand in your application if you cannot/donot want to apply online.
