Im from Alberta(Edmonton), seems that the processing in our province is tooo slooooowww. Not so sure if CIC Calgary is the same.
Here in DEADmonton. There were no activities going on for applicants who submitted since January 2012.
No schedule of ceremonies for September 2013 yet.
You can review some of the threads open with regards to Edmonton, there were also timelines on spreadsheet for your info.
Timeline will show it averages 16 months before your files can be transferred from Sydney to your local office here in the prairies, and then once its at your local office you need to wait for at least a year before you get invited for a written test.
That is why they started hiring additional new employees (Citizen Services Officer) for CIC Edmonton, because Hellga, Maxima and Latifah are overworked.

I'm in Calgary...
I applied in Jan 2012, in process since Nov 2012, file transferred to Calgary Apr 2013.
And now I wait and wait and wait for a test date...

CIC is quoting 24-25 months for routine applications, I feel that it will take me that long to get to the end of this road.

NICE ONE!!! Good to know that there is movement going on in the Praries.
Is this a family application or single?
So your E-CAS still shows File Transferred to Calgary? Seems that nothing gets updated online these days.

The application is just for my hubby and me...there is no update regarding the test on E-CAS as of today, I phoned CIC in May and they told me when my file was transferred.

From what I understand, the floods caused delays in Calgary. I'm hoping for a same day test/oath, I'm not sure if they still have them or not.

Hi nortena

From what i know in their notice it wasn't saying anything about oath because my sister-in-law before they go for the test she was saying that they have to wait 2-3 months for the oath if they pass the test. My brother told me that the officers told them that everybody pass the test and they will do the ceremony same day.

Hi Mark, thank you so much for your response. Hopefully my hubby will be taking his test soon and we are trying to make sense of it all. I currently live in the states while he's sponsoring me and we want to prepare for his citizenship. I want to be there for his oath and we hear so many different things from the Calgary office that sometimes we don't even know what to think anymore. If you don't mind me asking, does your brother and sis-in-law live in Calgary? and also do you know their timeline? The reason I ask is because in another post they said they do test/oath same day for ppl living out of Calgary.
