Processing time and ticketing

Hello all

I am a resident of India and my parent is residing in Canada with my sibling right now. She is critically ill at the moment and I would like to make a visit to see her. I filled out the online CIC New Portal Questionnaire and I am assuming they are going to process my file accordingly (Since I chose 'visiting someone critically ill') from the checklist.

I have all the paperwork ready to go, however I am not sure around what date should I be booking my Air Ticket? Since this is an emergency situation I am not sure how and when my file will be processed and I want to know if there is a certain timeline I should follow for booking the Ticket?

Any insight will be greatly appreciated

Thank you. is there anyway I can find out which office is my application with? I raised a webform and they didn't get back to me and honestly I don't have much time to wait so I was considering contacting the relevant office directly. @scylla
