Hello everyone

I applied for Study Permit and CIC replied that they received my online application on Oct 11 2018 and I haven't received the result at the moment.

School starts at Jan 7 and it's really stressing me up as I only have exactly 1 month.

What should I do in this situation? The company who helps me apply told me to wait but TBH, I can't sit still doing nothing anymore.

Thanks in advance for all your support and have a nice day.

Hi

You need to keep waiting.
Thank you for your reply. Do I still have a chance to receive it before Jan 7th ? I just want to ask because I've already paid the tuition fees and also the GIC so in worst case scenario I have to contact school to defer

Pretty much nothing can be done, if it has exceeded your country's indicated processing time you can send a WebForm but those dont seem to help much.

Even if u join the college after few days of classes open is no big deal. Just email and say that you waiting for your visa and you will be joining in few days.

Hi. I just received the result and they refused ...

They stated: " you have not show that you are a strong student in your home country. I'm not satisfied that you are a a genuine student who would depart Canada at the end of a period of stay authorized"

The people who help me said my GPA was low, but is it the real issue or I failed to persuade them I would be back home after completing the course ? If my low GPA is the main reason I'm very disappointed because nothing can change this and they don't provide any opportunities for students to make a new fresh start in their life ? It's unfair IMO. Please help advise thank you in advance

Request GCMS notes to see the detailed reasons.

It's not unfair. It's realistic. Generally, a person who hasn't put much effort into studying before isn't going to now. You can certainly change it by studying in your country and improving your academic record.
