You are a visitor so you need health insurance, can't assess services etc. You are not a permanent resident. I don't know US residency requirements for living and working outside the US. However for Canada, you can't work in Canada for more than 6 months or then you are a tax resident.So if I am there working remotely & don't need a job how does that change things? I don't have a need for perm residency just yet, or how does that work? I have no interest in being here during the summer, too damn hot!
