So if I am there working remotely & don't need a job how does that change things? I don't have a need for perm residency just yet, or how does that work? I have no interest in being here during the summer, too damn hot!
You are a visitor so you need health insurance, can't assess services etc. You are not a permanent resident. I don't know US residency requirements for living and working outside the US. However for Canada, you can't work in Canada for more than 6 months or then you are a tax resident.

Really there is a cutoff for express entry? What are the other options then?
Yes I have a Bachelor's degree. I am an Operations Manager.
You have to pay to take an English test? WHY?
Being very honest, immigrating to Canada is most likely not feasible for you based on several factors including your age and level of education. I think you'll need to be satisfied with visiting Canada.

So working for US org remotely you still need to get a job there?

That you need to have multiple degrees & be young?
Yes, immigration programs are generally aimed at young, highly educated and highly skilled workers.

That's unfortunate (& ageist), so people can't retire there then?
You can retire in Canada. You can live here up to 6 months as a visitor, work remotely and own a home. I know many American who own homes in Canada. Many Canadian retire in Florida and live there up to 6 months of the year.

So how can you live there year round though? How do folks own homes if they aren't there all the time? I have no interest in south, I hate the heat!

My wording was not correct. You cannot retire in Canada year-long but you can "visit" Canada up to 6 months of the year. Here in Canada, many people go to the US during the winter months. Some work remotely and own homes or rent. You could do the opposite...stay in Canada in the summer months but you need to live half of the year in the US. You would need health insurance, just like most Canadians have travel/health insurance when they travel to the US.

PR is really not possible.

Oh I see, so I can split my time, be able to rent or own but only for 6 months. So the process to do this would still be the same or how does one do that?
