Hi all,
I am currently in the process of trying to obtain a PPC from Italy for the time I lived there. I am neither Italian, nor an EU citizen, and currently live in the US. I am using a proxy to submit the papers and collect the certificates on my behalf in Italy.
The instructions on the cic website are pretty clear but I am concerned about the whole process as well a) it is Italy b) I am so far away.
I have submitted copies of my resident cards, my old passport (with the visa page for Italy) and copies of my father's documents as I was still a dependent at the time while I lived there.
My questions are a) has anyone been through the process before? (how long does it take? is there any harassment? is language an issue?) b) how did you choose which "Re p u b b l i c a p r e s s o i l Tr i b u n a l e U f f i c i o l o c a l e d e l c a s e l l a r i o" to use? c) do they not check fingerprinting at all? d) do you submit the original letters to IRCC or copies?
Best,
