PROCESS CLARIFICATION FOR BRITISH CITIZEN

Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of obtaining my Canadian PR. I'm a British citizen and my spouse is Canadian.

We have now received an email from IRCC but it has some confusing/conflicting information.

It says that the application is almost complete bu that I need to check if I need a Visa to come to Canada.

It says I might be without my passport for up to 4 weeks which is fine. However when I look online it says that British Citizen don't need a visa.

Does anyone know what I need to send as a British citizen to get my PR visa?

My understanding is that I only need to send 2 photos but then the email is confusing so I'm not sure if I should be sending my passport as well.

You do not require a visa. Your email should state that if you do not require a visa, you need to send photocopies of your passport along with the photos in order to get your COPR.
