Hi all,

All those who have got their PR/in the process to get the PR, through EE, can you please list down all the steps and a comprehensive list of all the documents submitted by you at each step, from the time you got the ITA.

This will help those, yet to get an ITA be prepared well in advance, and also serve as a checklist for all of us.

Thanks !

Generic document checklist so that you're prepared ---> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/express/intake-complete.asp

You'll get a personalized checklist after you get an ITA. That's pretty much all that is required to be done after an ITA. That and the interminable waiting, of course...

Asivad,

This is the first time I see this document.

I just realised that what they have here for proving relatives in Canada is different to what they have in the description for the upload section :(

In the upload section they say:

Document: Family Member Proof of Status

You must provide a copy of your family member’s Canadian Citizenship or Canadian immigration status document (e.g. Canadian passport, Permanent Resident Card, Study Permit, or Work Permit). Please provide a copy of both sides of the document.

However, in the link they say that we should provide proof that the relative has been residing in Canada.

I did not attach any of that :(

Will I lose my adaptability points for that?

Your CRS score doesn't depend on relatives in Canada. If you mean program eligibility requirements, that is 5 points on a scale of 100 - Are you falling below 67 without these points?

The citizenship or immigration status documents are primary in nature while other documents are of secondary importance. I don't believe you will lose points for not having attached those but you can certainly raise a CSE and send along those documents now if you want.

Thank you Asivad!

Without these 5 points I am still above 67. But of course I would like to still have these 5 points in case I somehow accidentally lose points in another category.

Do they accept documents sent to them through a CSE?

Yes. Members have reported sending in documents and receiving positive responses. Like I said, you don't really have to worry because you did follow their instructions and uploaded what was required.

Asivad, thank you so much! I owe you a nice dinner when we both make it to Canada.

I will try sending a CSE and hope they add the files to my application.

I should have a total of 77 points so hopefully even if I lose the 5 points it wont be much of an issue..
