Process after PPR for foreign applicants

Is there another thread for process after PPR for foreign applicants.

1) Should we mail the passport to family members in Canada/USA or try to go to local embassy ?

2) What is the wait time after you send the passport?

3) Where exactly will I get a visa? After sending the passport, will then return it back with a visa, or do I again have to go to the embassy?

4) What about biometrics? Is this done in airport? Or I have to send it to them somehow?

all i can help you with is that you need to email CIC to change your passport office to the local PO. and then they reply with a fresh PPR instructing you to submit your passport to the local PO etc.

No, they have not responded back to me yet. It has been only 6 days though for me. I found out that someone else was contacted in around 10 days time. I guess they have to actually send your file to local VO and setup other process, before responding, so maybe that is what is taking long. I also see that in the auto message that their normal response time is 20 days.

In one of the thread, there was a US number provided, which I called. Then using the options, I was able to get to mycic. But the lady I talked to was not from express entry. What she said is "They will mail back passport in the envelope provided.". I tried to ask if I can send it to my family/friends etc, but she did not gave me a clear answer, and only repeated above.

I have family in Canada, so I was thinking of sending our passport to them. And they will put send it to cic using their return address. I would like to check if anyone else here has done that or not?

Hi, they replied to me in a week - though I have read here that 10-15 days is normal. Another thing that some ppl did was to Fax CIC as well
It worked for them

Note that after the LVO has replied and we send passports for visa/copr, it still takes a good 2-3weeks or so to get it back. Been almost 3 weeks for me

I also asked for Visa office change and awaiting from August 19th.

Just now i received letter in My CIC asking to submit passport in New Delhi office after my VO change request to me at UK and spouse in New Delhi. Will i receive another letter too for my Visa Office change to UK ?
