Process after Oath ceremony

Hi All,

I was hoping if someone could share the step-by-step process after one’s oath ceremony to apply for a Canadian passport as well as the process for cancellation of an Indian passport and lastly applying for OCI.

I appreciate any help you can provide. Thanks!

Hi,
Post your Oath Ceremony

1. Wait for your Citizenship Certificate.
2. Once received, you can book your appointment in Service Canada for passport submission ( if not urgent )
3. If Urgent ( walk in or book your appointment in Passport Office )
4. Submit your passport application.
5. Surrender Indian Passport at BLS International ( Also write a letter if you want to apply without Canadian Passport )
6. wait for your Canadian Passport and Indian Surrender Certificate
7. Apply for India Visa or OCI

For Me, It was 3 weeks between Oath Ceremony and receiving the certificate.

You need to book Air Travel ticket to show urgency , refer below URL
