Hi all,

Have you guys mentioned your probation position ( if it was different from your final job)

A) in your reference letter?
B) as separate work experience?

Because if you mention as a separate work experience how do you say it belong to which noc classification? As most of us generally do training and get accustom to companies culture during that time.

If your actual work isn't much different before and after probation ends, it should be the same work period (?)

But in probation you are more kind of in training mode rather than full on working mode right? As you are getting used to companies work enviroment and learning its legacy tools and system

This is not an universal rule. In training mode doesn't mean you aren't working.

Note that NOC doesn't care about seniority.

Yes i agree we do work but in probation period we are more into learning about existing tools right and work afterwards utilizing those tools...

Hi,

You are very confused. CIC doesn't care about the probation. Your work starts when you join the company on the first date. Doesn't matter if you are in the training mode or sleeping mode for 3 or 6 months. CIC counts your work from the day you join.

I have answered your question in another thread, another member here did the same as well, and we both mentioned the same thing.

You seem to insist on your opinion, so why do you keep asking the same thing?
You can go ahead and write separate work experiences, if that is what you want/think.

Sorry buddy, But i am asking slightly different thing may be i couldnt convey my point...now i am asking should i mention my probation period position any where or not? Because my offer letter had it mention and my reference letter has it aswell...so if i dont mention wouldnt that raise some doubts in there mind??? And if i do mention how should i mention it

I have seen the probation period notes on offer letters as every company in Canada has this rule but never seen such a reference letter which mentions about the probationary period. However, I believe it shouldn't be a problem for CIC.
Did your job title change after passing probation time?

Yes from technology analyst to tech associate
So both should fall under the same NOC right.
Job duties cannot be same for both therefore you should get separate letter for each despite the fact of having a common NOC.

Wrong...during probation i was more learning about the existing tools as you would normally do whenever you join a huge it company
