I am new to this so please bear with me!!!

Our application has been sent off but as yet we have not received our AOR (London Office so I know there's a wait!!))

I have been reading posts and wanted to know what a CAIPS file is - what does it stand for???

Sorry if it's a ridiculous question!!!!

but it is done at a late stage in immigration not from beginning. It tells you what happened in your file. People ask about it when they are called for an interview or the processing time is exceptionally v. long or just for curiosity.

it is not a stupid cuestion, not at all, actually it is a very cleber one since you are on the very beggining of the process, but as our friend Egyman just said, it is too early for you so far, however you are starting with the right foot anyway.

Thanks for your kind message - the application went in on the 22nd of January 07 - apparently we're supposed to get the AOR within 12 weeks - but from reading these boards I'm not sure that will happen!!

I guess I'll just wait and see!!

It was a pleasure; this is the reason of this forum existence.

Actually the AOR used to take from 1 to 2 Months, but you may expect some delay due to the high increase of immigration applications

A lot of us are suffering these delays as well, so the first think you should have on this process is “patience” a lot of it. It is long way to go…
