Private institution / ITD canada - eligible to PGWP ?

Hello everyone,

Could someone answer me whether the institution ITD canada is eligible to PGWP


On CIC's web site ( www . cic .gc .ca / english / study / work-postgrad-who . asp) says:
" - a private post-secondary institution that operates under the same rules and regulations as public institutions, ..."

But I haven't found any way to find out how to know whether a private institution is eligible to PGWP or not!

I am considering ITD Canada for a two-year diploma with co-op.

Does this institution qualifies for OWP (spouse) and PGWP (student)?

I'm also considering ITD. The institution is listed on CIC's study/study-institutions-list , the program is full-time and would take 2 years, that means its eligible for PGWP or did I miss something?

Here's what we know now: Even if the school has a DLI and qualifies for a study permit, there's no guarantee a PGWP will be issued. So the short answer to your question is that you may qualify for a PGWP or you may not.

Private institutions generally have poor reputations with employers and offer low quality education. Pick a public college instead.

1. Only in BC & Quebec (rare in other provinces) that the private schools meet quoted text.
2. In general, only 'degree' programs from private schools are qualified for PGWP.
