For 3 months of coverage, you will require a travel insurance and I would say Manulife is a good company, it covers pre existing issues also.
Note : I am not associated with manulife, nor have any interest in this company.

please explore Bajaj Allianz's overseas medical policy for travelers , i got that in 20000/- indian rupees for 4 people(couple and two kids) for 2 lakhs CAD dollars of medical and travel and some more.
It is much cheaper in INDIA .
TPD

you can get the private insurance from indian or in canada, i recently moved to toronto and i brought my insurance after landing here in toronto, and it cost me 323 CAD for one person. i have also checked icici in india it were little cheaper but there i have to pay almost 100 CAD for every docter visit, for reimursement i have to send all the bills to there office in india. so i choose blue cross after landing here in toronto as they provide cash less facility and i brought my policy on phone after landing.

Cost is not the only consideration associated in buying an insurance policy. Doctors and hospitals do not recognize Indian companies insurance policy, one may have to pay upfront and who knows if the cost of upfront payment is in 1000's . Canadian policies are mostly cashless and cover pre existing issues also.
